The Sennebogen 655R is a crawler crane with a lifting capacity of 55 tonnes, built for duty cycle: heavy work in which the crane repeats the same cycle for hours, such as digging with a grab, vibrating with a vibrator or dragging with a dragline. Thanks to winch synchronisation and automatic grab closing, it excels at two-rope grab work.
The lattice boom reaches up to 49,5 metres and is powered by a 261 kW diesel engine. Two 16 t free-fall winches are fitted as standard, so you can drop a grab or heavy tool quickly and hoist it again. The hydraulically extendable crawler undercarriage makes the crane wide and stable on site and narrow for transport. With an adjustable or fixed jib you increase reach or working height.

Lifting capacity is the maximum load at the shortest boom and smallest radius; at greater distance it is lower, according to the load chart. Winch pull determines how heavy a grab or vibrator can work on the rope. A lattice boom is lighter than a telescopic boom and therefore gives more reach and lifting power at distance.
