What is the 3ablock Flat concrete block mould?

With the 3ablock Flat concrete block mould, you cast concrete blocks with a flat top, without studs. You place them as the top layer of a wall, so it looks neat and finished. You can also use them as a base for a fence or noise barrier, or to mark out car parks, driveways and storage areas.

The Flat comes in the same sizes as the standard mould, from 120 x 60 x 60 cm to 240 x 80 x 80 cm, so it fits seamlessly onto the blocks below. Like all 3ablock moulds, it is made of steel in a European factory for intensive use: with frequent use, a mould lasts at least 10 years. With the recesses underneath, the block fits onto the standard blocks of the same size.

The Flat is made for ready-mix and precast plants that want to offer a complete wall, and for contractors, agricultural and recycling companies that want to finish their storage bays and retaining walls neatly. If you already have a standard mould, it easily completes your range.

What do these specifications mean?

The size of the mould determines the size and weight of the block. A 160 x 80 x 80 cm block weighs about 2.4 tonnes, so plan for a telehandler or crane with sufficient lifting capacity. The weight of the mould itself counts when you move or tilt it. If you combine different shapes of the same size, the blocks fit together perfectly.
