With the 3ablock Base concrete block mould, you cast concrete blocks with a double-wide base. You place this block as the bottom layer of a wall where a broader foundation is needed. This lets you build taller walls with the same stability, or absorb a heavier load of soil or stored material.
The Base comes in 160 x 80 x 80 cm and 120 x 60 x 60 cm, so it fits the standard blocks of those sizes. Like all 3ablock moulds, it is made of steel in a European factory for intensive use: with frequent use, a mould lasts at least 10 years. With studs on top and recesses underneath, the blocks fit onto other 3ablock blocks of the same size.
The Base is made for producers and contractors building high retaining and support walls or heavily loaded storage bays, for example for bulk material, who need a more stable foot than a standard block.

The size of the mould determines the size and weight of the block. A 160 x 80 x 80 cm block weighs about 2.4 tonnes, so plan for a telehandler or crane with sufficient lifting capacity. The weight of the mould itself counts when you move or tilt it. If you combine different shapes of the same size, the blocks fit together perfectly.
