What is the WG16 stirrup bender?

The WG16 is TJK Serecon’s automatic stirrup bender for wire up to Ø16 mm. It processes rebar straight from the coil into stirrups and cut-to-length bars. Special feed rollers with electric servomotors ensure precise and even feeding, even with heavier diameters.

With a maximum diagonal of 2450 mm, the WG16 is built for large stirrups, such as those for heavy beams, columns and foundation cages. The bi-directional bending system prevents collisions and allows high-speed operation, and the working plane can be adjusted between 90° and 135°.

If you mainly work with wire up to Ø13 mm, the more compact WG12 will do. For stirrups in several planes, in 3 dimensions, there is the WG 3D 16, and for large volumes straight from the coil the WG 16 F2.

Who is the WG16 for?

The WG16 is made for companies that process large numbers of stirrups and bent bars every day, such as rebar processing plants, rebar fixing companies and precast manufacturers. Stirrups form the transverse reinforcement of beams, columns and ground beams and appear in almost every concrete project. Because the machine works straight from the coil, no separate cutting or straightening step is needed and offcut waste stays low. That makes a stirrup bender worthwhile as soon as volumes become too large for manual bending.

Technical specifications of the WG16

The WG16 processes single wire from Ø6 to Ø16 mm and double wire from Ø6 to Ø12 mm. The maximum pulling speed is 130 m/min, the bending speed goes up to 1200°/sec and the maximum bending angle is 180° in both directions. The diagonal reaches up to 2450 mm and average consumption is around 9 kWh. A full overview is available in the Technical specifications table on this page.

What do these specifications mean?

Single wire is the diameter the machine processes at a time; with double wire two wires are bent simultaneously, which increases output at smaller diameters. The pulling speed determines how fast the wire runs through the machine, the bending speed how fast a bend is formed. Together they determine output per hour. The maximum diagonal indicates how large a stirrup can be, and average consumption helps estimate energy costs.

Benefits of the WG16 stirrup bender

The WG16 is built for large stirrups and heavier wire:

  • Large stirrups: diagonal up to 2450 mm and wire up to Ø16 mm.
  • Bi-directional bending: in both directions without collisions, at high speed.
  • Independent cutting module: with 4-sided blades.
  • Adjustable working plane: from 90° to 135°, for small and large stirrups.
  • Smart control: integrated graphic library, connection to external software and compatible with an optical barcode reader.
  • Remote assistance: support from a distance.

How much does the WG16 stirrup bender cost?

We do not publish prices online. Every request is handled personally, because the configuration, options and delivery of the WG16 stirrup bender differ from project to project. This way you receive a quotation that truly fits your production.

What determines the price?

The price of the WG16 stirrup bender depends among other things on the chosen version, the options and software, transport to your site and lead time. How the machine fits into your existing production also plays a role. That is why we assess every request individually and prepare a quotation that fits your production and planning.
