What is the Wimag manhole clamp?

Manhole clamps lift precast manhole elements, such as manhole rings, cones and bases, via the opening or the wall. Wimag makes two families. The SZA and SZM clamps are self-clamping: they adapt automatically to the manhole opening, without adjustment and therefore without the risk of a wrong setting. A unique locking mechanism provides high clamping force.

You adjust the RSV clamps infinitely with a threaded spindle, and they are suitable for manholes according to DIN 4034. A safety spring prevents the clamp from opening under load. For coated, painted or smooth elements, the RSVG has rubber-coated jaws that prevent surface damage. The SZA and SZM are available with lifting bands or chains.

Who is the manhole clamp for?

Manhole clamps are made for sewer contractors and precast companies that place manhole rings and cones every day. If you place many different manholes, choose the self-clamping SZA or SZM; for smooth or coated elements, the RSVG is the best choice.

What do these specifications mean?

The lifting capacity or pulling force determines which loads the equipment can handle safely. The clamping range or pipe diameter tells you which elements it fits. The own weight counts towards the load on the hook of your excavator or crane, so choose a model that suits your machine.
