The Terex RT 1045 / 1045L is a rough terrain crane with a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes at a 3 metre working radius. It is a crane with one cab for driving and lifting, four-wheel drive and a hydraulic telescopic boom, made to drive across unpaved sites and lift there on its own.
The boom extends to 31.1 metres, with a tip height of 33.5 metres. With the optional 14 metre jib, you reach up to 47.1 metres. The operator controls the crane via a 7-inch colour display and electro-proportional joysticks, and chooses between 3 steering modes, including crab steering. The crane is only 2.53 metres wide and has an economical 129 kW Cummins engine. The RT 1045L is the long-boom version: 37.4 metres, with 44 tonnes of lifting capacity at 2.5 metres, a tip height of 39.5 metres and up to 47.5 metres with the 8 metre jib. Choose this version when you often need to reach high or far.

The maximum lifting capacity applies at short radius with the outriggers fully extended. The further the boom extends, the lower the load, according to the load chart. Maximum boom length and hook height tell you how high you can work; with a jib you go even higher. Four-wheel and crab steering make the crane manoeuvrable on site. Check the transport width and weight as well: they determine whether the crane can travel by road on a standard low loader.
