The Pronal JB Qualifix is an inflatable formwork core for setting manhole covers in concrete and finishing cylindrical manholes. It replaces heavy timber or metal formwork that has to be cut and adjusted to size. You slide the deflated core into the manhole and inflate it with a small compressor until it touches the entire manhole wall and seals it perfectly.
After pouring and curing the concrete, you deflate the core and remove it, without tools. Because the core seals the manhole watertight, no concrete or debris falls into the chamber. It also protects against people or objects falling into the manhole during the works. According to Pronal, you save up to 5 hours of work compared with classic formwork.
The JB Qualifix is made for road and sewer contractors and utility companies that regularly install or raise manhole covers. The more manholes you finish, the faster the core pays for itself.

The diameter determines which manholes the core fits: 400 to 1000 mm as standard, other sizes made to measure. The inflation pressure of 0.2 bar is enough to press the core firmly against the manhole wall; the safety pressure is 0.3 bar. Striking time depends on the concrete you use.
