The SBH S250 is aluminium shoring for minor cable and pipe-laying works and for working with light construction machinery. You use it as trench edge support, as a trench box or as pit shoring, to a depth of 2.40 metres. For the plates, SBH developed special extruded profiles in strong aluminium that perform well even under tough site conditions.
Thanks to the light design, you assemble the S250 quickly and install it with the place-and-adjust method: excavate first, then place the shoring in the trench. Two people carry the 60 cm high plates by hand, and you install and remove the 2.40 metre high box effortlessly with a mini excavator. A complete 2 metre long unit weighs only 380 kg.
The S250 is made for contractors in utility lines, cable works and house connections, and for anyone working with a mini excavator. Because the plates are light, it also works well where a heavy excavator cannot go, such as in gardens and narrow streets.

The installation depth is the maximum trench depth the system protects safely. The working width is the clear space between the plates, the trench width the total width from outside to outside. The clearance under the strut or spindle (hc) determines how large the pipes are that you can slide underneath. The recommended excavator tells you which machine can install and pull the system.
