The 3ablock Main concrete block mould 160 x 80 x 80 cm is 3ablock’s most produced model, thanks to its versatility and the ideal size of the block. It casts solid concrete blocks with studs on top and recesses underneath that fit together like building bricks. This lets you build retaining walls, storage bays, buildings and safety barriers without mortar, and move them later.
The block has a volume of 1.02 m³ and weighs about 2,400 kg; the mould itself weighs 275 kg. Variants exist in the same size, such as Flat, Slope, Stairs, Top, Round, Base and Arc, and accessories such as dividers for half blocks. Like all 3ablock moulds, it is made of steel in a European factory for intensive use: with frequent use, a mould lasts at least 10 years. With studs on top and recesses underneath, the blocks fit onto other 3ablock blocks of the same size.
The mould is made for ready-mix and precast plants that want to add value to leftover concrete, for contractors who build their own retaining walls and storage bays, and for agricultural and recycling companies that need strong, movable walls. Beginners often combine it with the Top or Flat variant for the top layer.
