The Shear Line 150B is a TJK Serecon cutting line for cutting rebar to length, from Ø10 to Ø50 mm. It combines a 150-tonne hydraulic shear with a 600 mm blade, mounted on a heavy-duty guillotine frame.
An automatic clamping system driven by a hydraulic piston holds the bars during progressive cutting. That ensures precision and safety, even when several heavy bars are cut at once. The V-belt drive keeps noise levels low, and processed material can be discharged to the left or right.
How many bars the 150B cuts per stroke depends on diameter and steel grade: from 60 bars of Ø10 mm in HRB335 to a single bar of Ø50 mm in HRB500. The full capacity table is shown with the technical specifications. A lighter version is the Shear Line 1240 with a 120-tonne shear.
The Shear Line 150B is intended for rebar plants and steel stockholders that cut 12-metre stock bars to length for further processing or direct delivery. By cutting several bars at once, a shear line processes large volumes in a short time. The cutting length of up to 12 metres and flexible discharge make it easy to combine the line with bending machines or storage. A shear line is often where production starts in a rebar plant.
The Shear Line 150B cuts at 20 cycles per minute, with a travel speed of up to 90 m/min and cutting lengths from 750 to 12000 mm. Average consumption is around 27 kWh. Bar diameters range from Ø10 to Ø50 mm. The capacity table shows, per diameter and steel grade (HRB335, HRB400 and HRB500), how many bars are processed per cut.
The shear force in tonnes determines how much steel the shear can handle in one cut. That is why the number of bars per cut drops as diameter and steel grade increase: HRB335, HRB400 and HRB500 stand for steel of increasing strength. The cutting speed in cycles per minute and the travel speed together determine the line’s capacity. The cutting length indicates the shortest and longest bar you can cut.
