The SBH S600 Standard Box is a trench box that keeps trenches safely open while laying pipes, sewers and cables. A box consists of two steel plates held at the required trench width by spindles. This lets your crew work safely in the trench, even when the ground is not stable.
SBH calls the S600 ‘the power package among trench boxes’. The plates have an extra reinforced head that absorbs the load when pushing them down, a solid side profile with additional straps and a robust cutting edge that cuts even through firm ground. This makes the S600 suitable for the cut-and-lower method, where you push the plates down alternately left and right while excavating. With top boxes on the base box, you reach greater trench depths.
The S600 is built for groundworks, road and sewer contractors and for utility companies that lay pipes regularly. SBH recommends it especially for inner-city pipe laying, where space is limited and the trench has to progress quickly and safely. If you only have the occasional project, renting is a good option.
The key data of the SBH S600 Standard Box, according to the SBH brochure:
The plate length determines how long a section of trench one box protects. The permissible earth pressure tells you how much pressure the soil may exert on the plates; a shorter plate can take more pressure. The pipe clearance is the free space under the spindles through which you can slide pipes. With the extension pipes, you set the spindles to the trench width you need.
The S600 is built to last and to work efficiently:
We do not publish prices online. Every request is handled personally, because the configuration, options and delivery differ from project to project. This way you receive a quotation that truly fits your work, for purchase or for rental.
The price of an S600 depends on the plate length and height, the number of top boxes, the spindles and extension pipes you need and transport to the site. For rental, the duration of your project also plays a role. We put the box together based on your trench depth and width.
